Lovely chat between Larisa Oleynik and Director Michael Barakiva about the upcoming production of I LOVED, I LOST, I MADE SPAGHETTI. Previews begin 6/16. Tickets for the Ithaca premiere at www.hangartheatre.org!
Since its premiere in 2012, I LOVED, I LOST, I MADE SPAGHETTI has been a hit with regional audiences and critics alike. After productions in Hartford, New Brunswick, Sarasota, Cincinnati, Waterbury, Fort Myers, Ithaca, and (upcoming) Bangor and the Boston area, we are ready to bring this show to NEW YORK CITY!
As much as the show is about a woman struggling to find love and her love of food, SPAGHETTI is a love note to New York. Brooklyn-born and bred, Giulia Melucci's story is filled with locations and situations that resonate with natives of the Greatest City on Earth.
If you know of a potential producing entity that would be interested in bringing this warm, heartfelt, and hilarious comedy to New York, please contact us via the contact page!

Many apologies for not posting this sooner, but we're molto excited that television and film actress LARISA OLEYNIK has agreed to appear in Hangar Theatre's production of I LOVED, I LOST, I MADE SPAGHETTI. Larisa is known for her starring role in The Secret World of Alex Mack, 10 Things I Hate About You, 3rd Rock from the Sun, a recent episode of Law & Order: SVU, and my personal favorite, Mad Men. She will be the youngest actor to play the part of Giulia, which delights the real Giulia to no end. Director and interim Artistic Director Michael Barakiva seems equal parts excited, nervous, and giddy to be directing the show as he is an inveterate foodie. We can't wait to see what Michael and Larisa cook up, so please join us in Ithaca! Show runs June 16 through 25, but Giulia and I will be at the Opening on 6/17. Hope to see you there!
